Women's Life Group: Messy Grace

Leader: Marie Crist & Karen Foreman
Meets Tuesdays @ 7:00 PM at the home of Debbie Keller
Book: Messy Grace by Caleb Kaltenbach

was raised by LGBT parents, marched in gay pride parades as a youngster, and experienced firsthand the hatred and bitterness of some Christians toward his family. But then Caleb surprised everyone, including himself, by becoming a Christian and a pastor. Messy Grace shows us that Jesuss command to love your neighbor as yourself doesnt have an exception clause for a gay neighboror for that matter, any other neighbor we might find it hard to relate to. Jesus was able to love people and yet still hold on to his beliefs. So can you. Even when its messy.

Jesus Mean and Wild

Leader: Steve Walker
Meets Wednesdays @ 7:00 PM at the Farm House
Book: Jesus Mean and Wild by Mark Galli

Many Christians are used to the idea of a meek and mild Jesus, the stereotypical "nice guy." Countering these all too prevalent notions, Mark Galli offers a unique study of seventeen troubling passages from the Gospel of Mark to prove we should be anything but comfortable with Christ.

Highlighting the undeniable fact of an untamable and often militant Messiah, Galli gives readers a training manual in spiritual growth to awaken sleeping believers and transform them into devoted disciples. Hinging on the compelling nature of the love of God, he explains how this mean and wild Jesus shows us truer love than our pleasant construct ever could. Striking and bold, always rooted in Scripture, Jesus Mean and Wild will put readers on the road to true discipleship.

Retired + Grandparents: ABCD Bible Study Method

Leaders: John Purcell, Gary Blair, George Goforth
Meets Wednesdays @ 7:00 PM at the Worship Center

The A-B-C-D Bible Study Method will assist you in your personal Bible study for the rest of your life. The Bible is a living book (Hebrews 4:12) and is one of the ways in which the Holy Spirit speaks to Christians (1John 2:27). There are many believers who read the Bible regularly, but never seem to hear the personal message that God wants to impart which is particular to them. We want to teach you not only how to read, but to LISTEN to God's Word.

Men's Life Group: Radical

Leaders: Wayne Roach & Jeff Martin
Meets Saturdays @ 8:30 AM at the Farm House
Book: Radical by David Platt

In Radical, David Platt challenges you to consider with an open heart how we have manipulated the gospel to fit our cultural preferences. He shows what Jesus actually said about being his disciple--then invites you to believe and obey what you have heard. And he tells the dramatic story of what is happening as a "successful" suburban church decides to get serious about the gospel according to Jesus.

Women's Life Group: Blessed Assurance
