In-person Services Suspended Until 11/14

In-person Services Suspended Until 11/14

As you may remember we canceled CFLM in-person services last weekend. (Big thanks to Ben and Rachel for making the best out of a challenging situation!)We canceled in-person services because one of our elders tested positive, and there was potential exposure to the other members of our church leadership, which could increase exposure to everyone. Our caution has since been validated now that several more members of our church have tested positive.

At this time it has been the decision of the leadership team that the best way to protect the health of our church family is to suspend all in-person church activities through the 14th of November. This suspension would include the Trunk-n-Treat, and any in-person classes or small groups during the weeks to come. We will continue to evaluate our next steps throughout the next few weeks as we determine the safest course forward. Please remember to take care of yourselves, and if you suspect you have symptoms indicative of this virus, ask your doctor what to do about them. Despite our great love for you all, we are not qualified to give you medical advice.

Proverbs 17:22 “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”So, stay positive, because Romans 8:28 says,”And we know that for those that love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.”

We’ve just been made aware that one of the Elders has been exposed to the Coronavirus at their place of work. As part of work protocols, he was required to get tested and unfortunately tested positive for exposure to the virus. At this point, no one else has tested positive for the virus and we pray this remains so. However, due to their potential exposure to the virus at a recent elder’s meeting, the rest of your elder team has decided that it would be prudent to suspend any church gatherings for the next several days, just in case the rest of the team might spread this virus to any of you. Without any leadership present at any of the upcoming gatherings, we would not be able to serve the family as we believe we should. Although this may only be for a week, we regret that this event has resulted in this temporary suspension of in-person corporate worship. To that end, Ben and Rachel are preparing a way for us to continue worshiping our Lord and Savior at home, so we can still glorify Him separately, if not communally. Please anticipate the availability of the video by 9:00 AM Sunday morning. You can access it from our YouTube channel here…https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBaRRvgtLu5TwgiNyQ2HDeSAFbKl0Exib

Given how far we’ve come as a church family I’m sure some might be tempted to consider this as a setback. Please allow me to remind you of this verse…
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.Psalm 118:24

In summary, all church activities have been canceled from 10/16 to 10/22.
